Dr. Usaku Robinson Wammanda

Dr. Usaku Robinson Wammanda is a Lecturer in the Department of Film and Multimedia at the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University. His teaching and research focus on African cinema, digital storytelling, and media production, all of which serve to prepare students for careers that are both creatively rich and industry relevant.
With a strong academic background in media and technology, he blends theory with hands-on training, making the classroom a space for both learning and exploration. His role helps ensure that SMC students are equipped with contemporary skills and knowledge that meet professional standards in film and multimedia.
He holds a PhD in Media and Communication with a focus on Film Studies from Pan Atlantic University, a Master’s in Digital Media from London Metropolitan University, and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University.
Beyond teaching, Dr. Wammanda supports the university’s internal productions and media content development. His sense of humour and layered personality add a refreshing dynamic to his teaching and mentorship. He enjoys travelling and spending time at the beach, where he finds inspiration for both reflection and creative expression.
